mine can make me laugh
some of my best times have been with her
When I'm hanging with her, I'm still young and immature
we can act like complete idiots
her the blonde, me the ditz
I love singing with her
and sharing little things
We stay up most nights
discussing everything, from God and space
to boys and our parents fights.
Even though we are oppisites,
we understand each other
I love the time we spend together
she's going to grow up, just like me
but to me she'll always be
my little sister.
I Love You Hannah.
Author notes
I wrote this, inspired by my little sister Hannah, because I was walking in the woods and found a fallen tree, I got amazingly excited over that tree, so I raced home to tell her. I knew she would understand why that tree was so important to me. This sounds so werid, but I just had to have her take pictures of that spot, because it was so pretty, and I'm a sucker for nature...especialy in the summer. Too bad everytime I paint it, it turns out messed up somehow..but this poem is realy about what an awsome sister she is, and how well we connect. Wow that was a long authors note...

Great poem. I know how sisters connect. I too have a lving sister but I am the younger one. Still it is simply wonderful to be able to share absolutely anything with a sister and how it is always given it's due importance....Keep it up!

She may grow up and you may move apart, but you will always have this deep connection to her, more than blood or kin. This is a fine tribute and dedication, Kaitlyn. I feel the same with my brother. We did the same, stayed up late and discussed religion, politcal beliefs, and our dreams for the future. The world falls away and all that matters is the here and now. And your author's note wasn't long at all. It gave me even more appreciation for the poem. Thank you for sharing this one. It made me recall so many good times.
