Lost you became
In a sea of substances
Wading in hellish waters
Drowning by your own choice
I reached out my hand as you fell
But you wouldn't grab it
When I threw out a line
You just let it drift away
Later you returned
Changed for the worst
Still lost at sea
And still sinking deeper
A part of you died
The part that was my father
I'll hold his memory close
But to you I say goodbye
