Some books are filled with pages half written
But, the unfinished are the most interesting.
Chapters which close to open a new one.
This is the transition I am in.
Characters from the previous chapters still exist
But their role has taken on new meaning
The lover now alone his object alive yet stolen.
The comic relief characters now sad and hurt.
These are the turning points in our stories.
The ones that make new lives, break old habits
Where strong decisions are made
These tell the stories anew.
New plans to be made new characters to enter
Plots and schemes forgotten.
In this present darkness may hope be found
These are the chapters where the reader begins to care
The author may at times be reckless
This just adds depth to the writing
Sets the reader off their guard
Draws them in for the real and bigger story.
