A friend in troubled times,
With faith much he acheives
Many mountains he climbs,
Sometimes on bended knees.
He cares for those who lost,
Even their will to live
Some souls mangled and tossed,
His heart just beats to give.
Faithful, loving, and true,
To his Father above
The one who helps him through,
And taught him how to love.
Each passing day goes by,
Without a peep from me
Down deep I think I cry,
But dare not let him see.
I know this life is cold,
This much learned on my own
Many times you consoled,
My tears I cried of stone.
I'm thankful for you dad,
Though we're miles apart
A few more words I'll add,
You're always in my heart.
