~ Rat Assed with Class ~

working my way through
I will get past nature's brew
red white be the hue
sweet Grapes of Rest are in view
and I'm sipping my way through

I say cheers to you
as I taste the crushed grapes dew
white wins by a shoe
but the red will go down too
then the grapes I will persue

As a Rat like me should do!

Er Um what have I just written ...Paaaaat help!
This could be a double tanka with a nagging drunk at the end of 'em...any one out there know hahahaha????

Oh I should point out I did not have a speech (impediment the contest called for Monorhyme..or there abouts

Pee Ess as rats do... I have two of them in my dining room...inspiration everywhere you look for it !!!

    And you complain about Bubba taking a liking to scotch while here you are leading those poor rats down the road to become rodent winos! Then you don't even save any cheese for the rest of us! Gee! And a simple invite would have been nice, I could have brought more cheese and crackers and even another bottle of Chardonay or even a Merlot!

      Aaagh...I gave the cheese to Rustle & Tussle (resident Rats)
      Chilli ate the crackers and that left me with the rest to deal with. Hands you a straw so you can help

    Damn, why did I stay at home today?

    If I had known you were holding a wine tasting I would have been there with bells on...and my uggies (feet still sore and cold) This is one of those poems that made my smile muscles tingle. Everything fits so well together - words, picture and your inimitable sense of humour Got ya with that one Tor'mentor-er. for the contest
