The Holy Spirit

Creeping along the midst of my inner fears
The devil will try to make himself known
In my heart I know I will never lose to him
I will never give in to the things that give him satisfaction

The holy spirit binds my heart to heaven
The only place I want to be after this mortal life
God is here showing me the things I need to know
To survive the struggles that are presented each day

I will never pray for my own will
I will only ask for the will of my Father
Humanity cannot comprehend life like God can
So why do we get angry when things do not go our way?

God has given us the right of freewill
We have the right to follow him or the devil
It is not his fault if we choose to follow temptation
He will cry, but it is up to us to have faith

The beauty of life can sometimes be overwhelming
Life can feel more like ugliness than beauty
But to follow God we will soon see true beauty
More beauty than ever thought possible

The minute I start to pray to God
He is right there beside me
Giving me the strength, the wisdom and the happiness I need
I ask for those things, because He knows I need them

To feel the holy spirit within, is like nothing else
More love can radiate from me and I long to show it
To smile at those who try to hurt me is a gift from God
To be able to love when most whould hate is a blessing

The wind blows wherever it pleases; you can hear its sound
But you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going
So it is with everyone who is born of the spirit
I know this and I will never again be the same
