The last sunset

The blood red sky,
Morphs slowly to black,
The sun is leaving,
And not coming back,

How could this happen,
How could this be,
No more bright days,
Ahead of me,

The innocent have gone,
The earth steeped in blood,
No more faith, no more hope,
No more good,

Now the world is for them,
No souls or hearts or light,
Drowning in perpetual night.
