butterfly wishes

Seen your first smile today,
It made me feel so good,
I hardly understood this
Feeling I was having way
Deep down inside.

I watched you crawl for the
Very first time,
Man did I want to cry,
My little boys growing
Up so fast.

Family members care so much for you.
If anything were to ever happen
I think every one will become UN glued.
Hold your head up high,
You’re loved so very much,
Don’t you ever forget.

The day you were conceived,
Congratulations are all I heard.
Every one seemed so happy to hear
You were to come into this world.

As I look down at you now and smile,
Your just a baby little boy,
So much to learn and grow.
So happy that I am going to be
There to watch you progress,
And I will always be there to
Stop you from trying to fall.

I thank you Lord today,
For the gift you have given,
I don't know where I would be
If you never given my dearest
Son to me.

    Tears in my eyes

Oh, I remember all too well when Sean was that little. Now, with my soon to be born little girl I can feel that all over. Hold on to those moments, they seem to slip by all too fast. Enjoy each day with your precious son. This poem makes a great entry! I wish you lots of luck.

it is every parents wish, i guess dream really to " always be there to Stop you from trying to fall." and i remember it so well, walking behind my daughter will she took her first steps, rode her first bike. now into twenties i wonder, will she make it at all. There are no guarantees of how they turn out. The only guarantees i can say really exist are for tears and laughter, heartache and joy, but i would neverm not ever, change a thing - being a parent costs everything and it is worth it.

    blessings and best wishes,

    ~richard
