I think sometimes the world should stop and wait
Should stop and stay and talk, not walk away
For just one time not mind to be too late
To be a little lazy, just today.
I think sometimes the world should check the date
And see the summer starts, right now, this day
Sometimes the world should just accept its fate
Throw out the books, call friends, head for the bay
A barbecue, a party on the beach
Just hanging out, no trouble on your mind
An orange juice, banana, pear and peach
A luau party of the greatest kind
I think right now the world should come and feast
For the exams have stopped, the torture ceased!

oh wow a talk poem. To be murmeled over some fake electronic world wusic or perhaps just laughed out loud over a mike in a poetry club? In the middle of winter say?
Anyway, for all the "non-poetry" words it does read a treat. THe words just sort of merrily roll of the tongue and best of all: the mind does go on vacation!
I love when a poet is able to write something light and bubbly (and in form too). Who says only pain and heartbreak can inspire?

The world should stop now and then, just to see what the hell is going on...
It's also nice to hear that your exams are over, now you'll be writing more again ( I hope )
