I sit in the corner and shiver
wishing that my life was not over.
I do not know love,
Love does not know me.
I want to love and be loved full heartedly.
To hold the hands of a wonderful man,
to whisper sweet nothing in his ear
or to kiss his velvet tender lips
with his hands upon my hips as dance
would suffice and melt my heart of ice.
Longing to be held tight
on cold lonely nights like tonight
I hug my knees to my chest
slowly draw in a breath,
Quite distantly from my corner,
I do see...someday I will be happy
To lay on a blanket under a star filled sky
with a sweet, kind, loveing man by my side
Or to swim in the ocean of passion
would be such a sweet answered dream
to someone so lonely, like me...
To stare into his eyes of any color
and tell him my hearts true desires
would be the beginning of me
instead of sitting in the corner watching
myself ending....
