by the door
an empty cat carrier
far off cat cry
at the vet
temperamental tabby
purrs for assistant
tipping the scales
the tabby smiles
as the vet says “diet”
booster shot
polishing claws
on the vet’s coat

Haven't written or read much lately. I enjoyed this.
Thank you.

Aren't cats the worse at the vet's office? I swear, it was easier for the pediatrician to give my daughter her vaccinations than the cat its shot!
I enjoyed every link to this haiku-chain, and could relate to a great deal of it too!

P.S.: Sometime I'll have to tell you the story of the vet's trip with my four-week-old tiny kitten, Dove, when the diagnosis was "crushed by refrigerator." It's not as bad a story as you might think, but that's how the vet diagnosed it!

lol my cat treats the vet this way lol I am sure he hates that time of year when we come to visit, we leave laughing and he stays bleeding
