From just that phone call
I senced something was wrong
She hung up
"Its Papa"
Just two words,
hurt so much
Hits deep and and drags something out
Didnt cry too much that night
I dont think it hit
Until we got 'home'
Went to see him later that week
Pale and still, in a box
I tried to joke, "he should have his glases on@
Thats the last time I'd see my Papa, told him
Id miss him
Hope he heard
Anyway, Ill see him again
Death is only a new life
