Delusion

Missing image

Nobody discovered America . .

For in truth it wasn’t lost !

It was invaded by looting aliens

Who showed the natives who was boss

Several hundred years ago . .

Long before junk mail arrived by phone

Adventurers came from far off lands

And claimed America as their own

In fact, there’s only one type of human

That exists here on planet earth

But varying climates and plate partitioning

Evolved differences from our birth

What’s wrong with all the people?

How come religion and hatred has multiplied

With one God in everyone’s heaven

Why do we bicker and deride

The only real discoveries man has made

Are all his shortcomings that exist

Yet despite all the consequential disadvantages

We ensure . . the shortcomings still persist

I do agree with you ..you are so true here revealing the gist of the life here...I love its poetic depth and the feel of the wave of the impact of the scenario and that is the real beauty and the real strength of this poem leading us in the land of thoughts and leading us towards the world of intriguing flow of the sentiments which you
tried to reveal through your great penning here my friend..well done

    Hi
I recall reading and commenting on you some time in the past. Glad to have clicked on your name. It's good to be able to relate to words, ideas, feelings. I agree about the so-called inventions that are not really inventions. I am tired of those truths that are hidden in slices of awe. Thank you for the post.

Ahhh, I loved this. A very deep, questioning piece of writing. Such honest words too. I love a poem that makes one think and this one did. You are correct of course,,,America was not "found" for it was never lost.

    Great write.

Only if more people would read your words, understand the message and try yo live by them, then the world would be such a better place for all of us to live in.

Loved This! Especially the first stanza. I do wonder why the educational system here in America still insists on keeping this fabrication in our History books. You are a soldier for the right that we all should latch onto. I wish the world were more giving and forgiving. Great rhyming work here my dear friend. There is a good conscious left in the world. I have to hold onto that.

    Much Love ♥

Good poem. I took its message as being against racism and religious bigotry: good message. I liked the rhyme here.
