You question the wisdom of God for creating your brother.
Returning from Dairy Queen, you forgive God
because as long as your parents are alive
you get free ice cream.
The boy behind the Dairy Queen counter is
younger than you and you don't
have a job,
but that's all right
and your parents want you out
but you want free ice cream
and they're right
and you're wrong
and you feel like dad
without his road map
you're sure of where you're going
because this is North America,
and you're expected out
they don't want to keep you
from trying
even if you like ice cream

The D Word!
Oh my, you used the D word...Dairy Queen. My parents often took me to Dairy Queen for free ice cream as per their parental courtesy. Thanks for the memory.

I like this, its short though, because I feel with a bit more imagrey and detail, this one really cold have been a gem. I like how you keep goig back to the ice cream. Very good story line. this isnt sticky or anything. I really like it. Though It would have been better given more deatail. but thank you , for following the rules!
