Your time has run out and you’ve missed the last dance
For once the sun has set you can’t feel that light again
There’s so much I want to do so much I want to explain
If I could hold you in my arms just for a second more
I may be able to let go and forever close that door
But I know that is a lie for I am a part of you
And now I can’t take back what I did and didn’t do
I blamed you for the poison and I blamed you for the pain
I blamed for the reason that you did not remain
But I only did it so I could hide the ten year scars that remind
Me of the child who grew up way before her time
Now the woman wishes she told you how much you mean to her
Even if all this time apart has just been a blur
For as long as I can remember I was not allowed to admit
That maybe even for a second you were someone I did miss
So please for the sake of my sanity don’t yet make me say goodbye
Because I know that if you do then all I am will die
Now it’s all gone wrong and I cannot understand
Do you ever really love me or be proud of who I am
The last I looked into your eyes I didn’t know who was looking back
So I just ran so far away I though it was all going to crack
I blamed you for the poison and I blamed you for the pain

It's hard. I know it's different but if I could go back in time and just spend more time with Karl (the one I love who is still alive just not in my life) and to tell him all the beautiful things I really should've said, then I'd sit here a happier woman. But alas, I can't do that. It's sad, especially when the person you may never see again (or definately wont, if they have passed away). Beautiful write though, I can only but try and understand.
