This is where I live -
the boulevard of broken dreams
where streets are full of sins
thrown by folks who are mean.
Neighbors not dare to peek
they’re afraid to suffer defeat
but I walk in the middle of it
while others go to sleep.
I walk alone scared not to admit
this empty street has always been
a home that cradles my dreams
though they’re always broken in my sleep.
