The anger in the air was palpable
Dissension breaking walls of right and wrong
Distraught by all the fervor I’m aghast
Riotous they break the wondrous song
A susurration comes out in the dark
Vicissitudes are coming with the wind
Comeuppance for the violence is nigh
For all the past ebullience of sin
And then a new and better world be born
One lacking all the pain and sin of past
A peace amongst the people everywhere
A joyous peace that will forever last
Abodes will open up to everyone
The juncture now has been left far behind
And we will burgeon in this time of joy
Incursions will no longer be to find
Officious, we will make our stand today
Organic, we are bound forever one
Now we hold on to brothers, sisters dear
And wait there for the rising of the sun
Author notes
I USED ALL THE WORDS!!! I was so inspired by them that I just had to use them. In some cases, I used the uncommon meaning for a word(i.e. ebullience(which usually has positive connotations))

Loved the subject of this write. My son leaves for a second tour in Iraq and I am so fearful for him. I wish for a better world. Great job and nice flow to this poem. Well done.
