An awkward silence
Between lively eyes
A quiet violence
Allows love to rise
There is much to say
Not a word is spoken
On this rainy day
Our souls almost broken
Very subtle lust
On this fateful date
A powerful trust
We will soon create
My hand touches hers
So softly but firm
Silent emotion stirs
That loudly affirms
With so much power
We patiently stare
Hour upon hour
Ecstatically aware

Love this poem. There is so much emotion within each stanza. Your use of rhyme is also superb. Something else I noticed is that, dating does not come easily, from what I am reading. It has been a long time since I have been on the dating scene, but I sensed a hit of anxiety about it, and yet, the beauty of possibilities shines through.
You are an excellent poet, please keep writing, and I will try to stop by your page more often.
Thank you,
Katina

Why does it seem that there are so many awkward silences? At least when something important is happening. It's also weird how one moment can often seem like a lifetime. or vice versa.
