Passim

If I were a literary expert,
and fond of sprouting words,
then my description of my name
may not sound too absurd.

passim: A textual annotation.
A word that frequently occurs,
here and there, throughout a book,
or within a piece of verse.

Am I sounding very learn-ed?
Think I know it all by rote?
Ah, how easily you are impressed.
It was the name of our sail-boat.

But here and there our yacht we sailed.
And the name it suited fine.
Now it’s me that's here and there,
and writing fills my time.

    OK, Got it

And I thought it had something to do with that "in your face" emu or ostrich that you had posted for awhile. Your 'figger' appears to be much more becoming than big bird's, so I'm glad it had nothing to do with him, her, it!

A sailboat! How I love the water and how I rarely see it from beyond the shoreline. The Navy was good for getting out and about, but that's now a chapter in an ancient history book.

Simple, and nice. I used to not think rhyme was anything special, because I didn't see anyone doing it good. Lately though, I've met some people who can rhyme well, and you are one of them.
