A secret I am keeping from her, it is bound
Incredible thoughts racing through my worn mind
I search my heart for answers I can't find
The fear is blinding in a place so dim
Subtle laughter while my soul is on a limb
Just waiting to jump or go back to solid land
The waves crash below calling me to the sands
A man such as me brought to my knees by one so small
I have been though fights and fire and I still walk tall
I know for certain she is the magic of strange life
So I finally found the heart to ask if she would be my wife
In a single moment a whole world can be still
It can burned, broken, and rebuilt until
The second half of that moment must begin
In that second half the world will move again
In my mind I see all the possiblity of all
What will say? she can see me with no more walls
I wonder if she knew the question before I asked
To her my emotions are very poorly masked
Still all moments must end and this one as well
So her answer came out and I quite nearly fell
She said Yes to me and my whole body rejoiced
I was so incredibly happy I lost my voice
I regained my powers of speech in the morning
But I still feel nothing except that I am flying
So my favorite reader, what do you feel?
I will wait for you forever, I will even kneel
Author notes
To the one who just rewrote the story of my life. You are amazing and beautiful in more ways than can be imagined or put to justice by the simple words of a failing poet. It is my dream that you will stay with me, our promises are combined now and I have great faith that you will always remain true to yours and I swear that nothing could rip me away from mine. I love you always and am with you wherever your future should decide to take you.
Hugs and Kisses for you, Now and always,
Your Loving Puppy Wayne
Please tell me what you think
