A Message To The Young Of Today!
They gave us their today
That we might have tomorrow
Our day built from their blood
Their pain and sorrow
Those who through their will
Laid down their lives to give us
Freedom still!
On foreign country soil,at home,on sea
And in air
Whenever and where ever duty called them
They were there!
Pride of our country the heart of
The brave!
For the World their all they gave!
Honour the fallen all who live today
Their faith,hope and determination
Show us the way
Speak peace to the World in their name!
So we still uphold their endless fame!

Thank you, your words are like soothing oil to scars that will never heal. If the enemy were not enough coming home to people who make a mockery of the life and sacrifice given is an unforgivable sin.

I liked it very much.
The love and respect for our troops.I find that I liked all of this poem it is truely well written. The title and first and last lines were just right. I felt the depth of feelings this poet has for our troops. A very tallented poet and will go far with this type of poetry. The title speaks volumes, and the first line tells it like it was and is for those who serve. The last line is a given. I really didn't find it awkward to read. there is nothing I would add to this poem.
