To The People Of This World!
As I think about the World,
And what is going on,
I hear of people losing their lives and
Homes being ripped and torn!
It makes me feel so angry!
It fills me with such pain!
When I see people dying and crying!
I think its a terrible shame!
If there is one thing I would like to see!
It's Peace reigning over the Earth!
Everyone getting on in this world!
Filling each day with laughter and mirth!
All of us are human!
Equality should reign supreme!
We should all be sharing One World!
We should all be living One Dream!

This wasn't exactly sad, but it was heartfelt. I believe it's something everyone needs to read. Thank you for sharing.

Perhaps someone ought to put this in a textbook so that every kid should grow up reading this. To me, it seems to have a Jone Lennon feel to it, don't really know whay though. It is just my instinct.

Thank you for commenting I sent this to the United Nations and I agree this should be put in a textbook for kids and adults to grow up reading this...World peace is something I hold close to me...I am honoured that you think my poem has a John Lennon feel to it...God bless...Hazel

Thats very true! I think the world would be a much better place. So many people complain, but nobody does anything about it. If they would actually put their words in action it would be a better place. I really enjoyed this poem

what a sweety! lol
Seems like a venting poem. I see through this poem that you care about people and the way they are taken care of that is very sweet! Usualy the short angry statement thing doesnt' work for me but i did like it in this case! I also liked the fact that you didn't repeat anything a lot in diffrent words, lol some people tend to do that (guilty :/)
