An Adventure

Arrow is a cat,
she is a killing Machine

Caught a young rabbit,
and was about to begin
      The Game,
when my niece discovered the scene,
she's nine.

Oh, the tumult that ensued,
the screams,
the falling falling chairs,
the potted plants askew,
the anguished pleas for help.

I ambled out.

'Get the bunny, Uncle Tom'
I didn't want to get bit
by an adolescent frightened rabbit,
so I tried to give it an out,
none of that, she scooped it up,
and held it like a baby in her arms

Oh, Well.
Now we've a bunny in a box,
and a cat on the banister
with very patient eyes.

The time will be right again, when young girl not present, rabbit out, and cat aware. Meal in a box for this kitty then. Liked this story told so well in these lines. Kids are the reason we write so many of out poems, as in this care. Cute write.

Not your usual, but in reality, that's fine. One of the few I understand! ...Though perhaps that doesn't say much for the poem. Suffice it to say, I liked it, and it makes me want more Lute-ness...
