Slow Summer Days

I sit here in the middle of the room
in total darkness
I have a light
a lamp hanging from the ceiling
but I'm too fucking lazy
to get up and turn it on
So I keep sitting here
I keep shitting here
like the slob I am

And the lightbulb
is outta work
and on the dole
only he does not
get any money
I get all the checks

I have a thousand checks
which I haven't had paid out
I'm just to damn lazy
to go to the bank

They'll probably find me
Sitting in shit,filt,dust
and darkness surrounded by
a whole mound of checks

Dead as a doornail
stiff as a board

Please tell me what you think

Vey Bukowski-ish, since he is one of my fav poets, I saw your name and had to come check you out, and will add: will be back for more...this is dark, deep disturbing as it should be...love the "just too dam lazy" feel of this piece...well done
