Friends Romance

We dance slowly, to music not there.
Swaying to and fro in your room.

After an hour or two later you stop
and pull away.  Then you stare at me,
right into my eyes.

I return the jest, and find myself
longing to kiss you.

Suddenly you smile and caress my
cheek.  I blush but I don't turn away.

Slowly then you lean in, and I don't pull
away....

A kiss..

Tender, sweet, full and loving.

My breath grows short, and an ache emanates
from within my chest.

The ache to embrace you so fully, to
love you with all I have...

You pull away then, leaving me breathless.
Yours eyes meet mine again, enticing me
to say.

"I love you."

Your eyes widened ever so slightly, but a
smile retraces the lines of your lips.

You pull me into another loving embrace.
Your lips move to my ear and you nibble on
it softly.

Meanwhile I stand there afraid that
you will just brush me aside after
what I'd said.

Then to my surprise I hear you whisper.

"I love you to..."

And then, we embraced fully!
