“I love walking in the rain, 'cause then no-one knows I'm crying.”
The tempest pelts the tender flesh on the back of my neck
And the softest blue-melancholy sigh emits from the whisper of wind in my hair
It’s cliché, this walk amidst tempered rain where I strive to hide these silver lined tears
The earth’s supposed to guard my heart, obscure my waters of weakness
But with the thousands of souls depending on the rain how can I seek concealment?
The tempest pelts the tender flesh on the back of my neck
And the softest blue-melancholy sigh emits from the whisper of wind in my hair
It’s cliché, this walk amidst tempered rain where I strive to hide these silver lined tears
The earth’s supposed to guard my heart, obscure my waters of weakness
But with the thousands of souls depending on the rain how can I seek concealment?
Author notes
-shrugs- As cliché as walking in the rain to hide your tears really is, everyone does it some point or another. And with everyone doing it, how you can expect to really be hidden from the world?...You can't.

By the way, this poem is dedicated to my 20 year old Aunt...She can't read my "big words"...So I wrote her a "little" one!

I like this piece, because it is very true, it has power in the way that it has no concealment, but I see it as inner thoughts, laid bare. Thankyou for your entry, and good luck. Xx
