there has never been anything so suspenseful
or exelerating
theres nothing in the world like seeing an elk
standing there in the wind
pacing back and forth
then you have to wait
wait for the perfect moment
that moment where he stands about twenty yards away
then he turns right at you
looks you right in the eye
then turns his head the other direction
now you draw back
your hand is trembling
its getting harder and harder to see
but then you take the shot
it hits him right in the heart
perfect shot
he drops as soon as the arrow hits
after waiting all those years
it finally paid off
now all thats left is to take him back to camp
now you go home and wait
wait for hunting season
so you can have another chance
to take an animal
but nothing will replace the one
your first animal
the perfect hunt

You're absolutely right, there are very few things in this world as majestic as a bull elk. There's also very few things as tasty as a well prepared elk roast. An enjoyable read. Thanks for entering.
