Dreams for the Future

The notes drift from the speaker
The singer belts out the words
I feel a sense of contentment
As the colorful CD turns

That's what I want in my future
This is my passion, my dream
A songbird to sing for the world
What a future that would be!

Everyone would love me
I would be idolized
The press and paparazzi
Would be fighting for the prize

That is me! I would be happy
To see my name in lights
I'd travel the country, and maybe the world
And see all the wonderful sights

But then maybe I would start wishing
For the quiet life I used to know
Which means I should not take for granted
The current lifestyle I live. So

I sit back and hear the notes drifting
As the singer is belting the words
And I welcome that sense of contentment
As the colorful CD turns...

Author notes

I wrote this randomly before chorus class. I LOOOVE to sing, and I'm very good at it. I really do wanna be a singer when I grow up.

How do you like it!
