the artist moulds paints on a blank canvass
as her squinting eyes did scrutinise
each tentative flick of the brush painting
her years of hope
she patiently waited for true perfection
to carry her into a golden sunlight
“The world shall be our stage”
-she sighed- “the sun shall light our candles
as we dance upon humanity’s desires
the birds will sing our love song
superior to even the heavens”
alas her impeccant scene
conveyed in utmost detail
is stalled
by an innocent of innocence
the enigma of her perfect world
cries “mummy, mummy”
and this unfortunate child
became the subject of blame
the reason why this selfish woman’s
“golden sunlight” became her “utopia”
all in one single, short-lived act
and who will suffer now?
the artist existing only in her
utopia, her blessed current afterlife,
which has already become her burial place
for this artist of perfection will never change:
she’ll never want the only perfection she ever made.

Very good 1st
Some paintings are complicated - taking years to complete and then end up being rather common -
the special ones - come maybe once in a life time - other painters - almost everything they do is called a masterpiece - just a matter of who's saying it
I happen to like this peace and think it is better then a lot of the stuff I have read and some I wrote.

Feels to me as if a child comes into the picture unexpectedly and the mother, though loving the child, blames her for the change in direction of her life and her not being able to fulfill her dream or what she may believe was her destiny. This was quite thought provoking...as you can tell by my ramblings...ha! An intriguing pen you have

Sounds good
But I'm slightly confused; is the woman blaming the child as the reason why she cannot draw her perfect picture? -
-
sort of....like she blames the child for the reason she can't metaphorically "paint a perfect picture of her life" so her life will never be how she describes it. However she doesn't realise that the only thing that will ever be perfect in her life is the child she created...
