Every time I go outside
my heart begins to mourn.
Little children running rampant
in the inner city streets.
Looking for love in
every face they meet.
Materialistic celebrities have
replaced our search for truth.
Rappers,doppers,prostitutes
are the mentors for our youth.
Whatever happened to morality?
Now honorable men are the minority.
The media has lost their taste
for accuracy.
They earn a living feeding us
hype and fallacy.
Mothers no longer stay at home.
Instead with the teenagers they roam.
Dressing like adolescence in clothing
they think will make them young.
Looking so ridiculous it makes me
want to scream at the top of my lungs.
We need some real leadership.
Our current president is a trip.
Everywhere he goes he causes
nothing but strife.
Stirring up contention and making
havoc in our life.
It seems we've all gone alseep.
While infants and the elderly weep.
Don't anyone know the way?
God its time to pray.
Polution is at and all time high.
Scientist caution us to clean
it up before our children die.
This entire world is in a mess.
Only love can truly bless.
We need to get our priorities straight.
The clock is ticking so let's
get going before its too late.

An excellent write here and Its a shame how this country seems to be walking down in the same footsteps of so many countries that have failed . For without respect and love and just being descent human beings
We are doomed to the destruction we bestow upon ourselves .
