the darkness was upon us
as we walked along the beach
listening to the waves wash the shore
romance was within our reach
we stopped for a hug in the breeze

as the stars begin to shine
the twinkling lights brightened the way
for us to have more time
we spread our blanket on the sand

while we were conjuned in fun
the aura of colors surrounded us

watching the big dipper and mars
the heavens were magnificent
