As prisms of light dance around my skin
Finding every crevice to take sanctuary
The massive ashen billows
Cover the terrain in a profound obscurity
The enticed reflection
Pulls at tender strings
And leaves a craving
For something higher
The explosion of God's torpedoes
Echo through unlistening ears
As crystal tears pelt the thirsty earth
And give redemption from resent heat
The pain of watching tears of crystal
Takes the warmth from a dead heart
And gives the reminder of the
pain filled yesterdays and bleak tomorrows
The whispers of the skies
Echo sour goodbyes
And stone cold lies
As they take me by surprise
The reminders of a dark past
And the cold future
Of deep pain
And depressed remorse
As the crystal tears
Bounce on a rose petal
The past haunts my thoughts
And I shed my own crystal tear
