Take from me what you will,
find what it is you need.
Don't heed the screams, just go ahead
go ahead and make me bleed.
I don't yet know what it is you seek,
a something hidden in my flesh.
But please, dig a little deeper,
dig a little deeper, I digress.
How much more must I yield?
How much more will you take?
In your search will you twist me,
bend me until I break?
Listlessly I wait for you,
my mouth sewn shut by careless thread.
Tell me what it means when you drink
from the river, place a kiss atop my head?
Blindly your hand reaches far away,
far away for what sleeps inside.
Sheltered in your palm like a songbird,
you claim the fluttering prize.
What will you do now that you can go
no further, that shattered is my will?
If I could rip my stitches open wide,
I would damn you straight to hell.
But I cannot scorn my former savior
although my agony brings her mirth.
I crack as tears threaten to overtake me
and I realize this is truly, hell on earth.

Chloroformed kisses
Why isnt this in a contest? Its fantastically written!
I wonder... who is this about? A lover or your mother?
Or am I off track?
The best part in my opinion was here-
Listlessly I wait for you,
my mouth sewn shut by careless thread.
Tell me what it means when you drink
from the river, place a kiss atop my head?
This took my breath away, the metaphor was incredibly strong. Whoever has hurt you, your words bite back with venom.
