sheep in sheep's clothing.

these are the ties that we make, the relationships we are pertaining to have, there is lust raging behind computer screens being translated through keyboards and double clicks.

this is our generation, we are falling in love with images and believing our own hype. we are becoming charicatures of ourselves through profiles and ridiculous poses.

we use irony to detract from our yearning to be as cool as him or as pretty as her. we are no longer living as humans, but through html and picture comments.

we are sheep in sheep's clothing.

these are the ties that we make, the relationships we are pertaining to have, there is lust raging behind computer screens being translated through keyboards and double clicks.

this is our generation.

we need to escape.

    Oh I really enjoyed this!!
A true perspective on our 'sheep' like behaviour.
The last line was very well placed.
    Excellent!

-these are strong words, effectively used, wonderfully written. i love poetry that's unique like this. wow, this is a fantastic piece with a really good point. we get so caught up on trying to look like someone we're
-never- going to be & it's ridiculous!

    Brilliant piece

You know, this is so true. A wonderful, insightful piece. Full of honesty. Written from the heart. I love the ending of the piece too. That there is a 'lust,' raging behind computer screens. Never a truer word said. Keep writing.

    All the best

very insightful write and thought provoking, sad but true. behind a computer screen sit many actors and actresses, most often none what they appear to be. great write, and a great statement you have made, still, innocent children and adults alike, are being drawn into this fantasy world everyday, and often what they find, is the devil himself, dressed in sheep's clothing.

line 5- I think should be charicters, not sure about charicatures, it may be a word I'm not familiar with.

line 6- need to space between from and our

hmm...You're right. It's the age of IT. It's the dictate of time. An ironic title, for to be called a sheep presupposes that one is in a sheep's clothing. Hence the main messaage lies in that prepositional phrase "in sheep's clothing", that's where the emphasis lies which means what lies underneath is no sheep, afterall. the medium ("html") is our sheep's clothing cos each interactant cannot see beyond that.
Nice insight to the world of IT.
    It's a didactic poem.
I also think lots of youngsters need to see this. It sure is an eye-opener for the disillusioned.
