wow very interesting way to put this. I like how you take the fact that when it rains there is a rainbow and apply that to a person and say there is no rainbow without tears, implying we must go throug bad times to see the good. (though I think I appreciate the good anyways! lol) but it was easy to understand and I am glad to be under your favorites now. !

I just dipped into the contest to see what the Gold cup winner wrote, but they've pulled their entry to use somewhere else already! You really did a stellar job and I wanted to read something even more profound, but not to be.
It's funny, one of my better poems got one of the lesser cups, bronze or HM the other day, so I clicked on the winner and I wanted to, well, puke. Misspelling, rhyme with no attempt at meter and truthfully, just pure pap. Ugh. Makes you wonder.
Congrats on this though. Silver out of over 80 entries is a good reason to be proud!

It is the tears which make us happy. not literally lol!
but they make us feel better and make us see through the black and into the white. It is uplifting and everyone should cry atleast a little to sooth the soul.
this is a beautiful one-liner and the pink colour is really pretty too. I love rainbows personally so maybe that made me like this even more. but it was very nice. congrats on the silver!
