I wonder what I am getting into,
As I gently do the writing,
I find myself in another time and place,
Slowly I dream as I shut my eyes.
Writing with my eyes so shut,
No longer alive, simply breathing,
My heart does a flip as I begin to breathe once more,
Feeling lightly I begin to emerge.
I see on the screen - poetry so swiftly wrote,
Before I knew it I was done in a flash,
But what will everyone else think? I begin to ponder anew,
But before I know it, another begins to form.
More poetry is written and on the screen,
I do not know where it all comes from,
But from my mind or heart or soul.
I figure one way or another,
Poetry is in my veins.
I breathe once more and look upon the screen,
Remembering little upon none,
My heart beginning to flutter,
Remembering little upon none.
