My sweet beautiful girl
I want you to know
I will always love you
wherever you may go
A young woman today
and learning real fast
Life is never easy
some of the hurt might last
I have made some mistakes
Won’t close my eyes for that
But believe me when I say
they too make me sad
Can you forgive me now?
Doing things not always right
But you see, nobody taught me
never showed me how to fight
Nobody ever told me
I could reach everything to be,
to be proud of whom I was
and to find the real me
So I tried my very best
to let you see this all
But if I did things sometimes wrong
I hope you understand, after all
Just know I'll stay your best friend
no matter what you say or do
My love for you is unconditional
and I will always help you through
From the day you were born
till the day I will die
I will be here to support you
and will never ask you why

I like how you represent the fact that parents aren't perfect. They too have flaws, but for the most part they will always try to do the best they can. I think some kids forget that from time to time. -

i love the picture.. it portrays SO many wonderful feelings
through troubles and stress
most say it's worth it
to have a baby in your life
but this isn't focusing on the stress that the baby gives you
it's more on the fact that every little mistake you make could and would impact the baby's life. maybe forever, depending. and i love you for it~ i've only seen a couple of poems written from this angle. it makes the reader truly feel that you put the baby first and fore most.
you'll gladly take the strain
and even ask for forgiveness

This is so touching, so heartfelt I think we all wish sometimes that we had done better for ourselves and want desperatly for our children to do better than we think we did.

I love this poem!
I feel this way about a few people, not many get my unconditional love, most just abuse it so I slap them in the face with it and take it away from them. Dunno why I say that, that's just what I wish I could do, they get to keep it either way cos I care too much to care about me. Oops I rambling on as I do. I always waffle on about stuff when commenting on a good poem, but if I waffle on you can safely say the poem is amazing because it motivated me to waffle and inspired me and things
