I'm sad to say, no pet here
I might even shred a tear
But if I had a cat or dog
Or even a little baby hog
A fish or bird or ducklings so small
Or an elephant or giraffe so tall
I would be happy and gleeful each day
And I would feed it and care for it and give her time to play
It would be a girl and depending on her look
I could name her Libby, Jenna, or Brooke
Maybe Liz or even Nancy Rice
I would love my new pet, so loving and nice
So I would love to have a pet, to say at the least
I would be so happy with my new feline beast
