The Earth Sighs

Missing image
goddess,
earth mother views
her wardrobe of beauty,
cascading waterfalls are wrapped
around shoulders of pristine palisades,
mirrored mesas shine in wonder
as her breath of pure air
nourishes land,
goddess

outburst,
molten fury
of magma igniting
anger at misuse of her gifts,
exhaust fumes from conceived conveyances
wheel along engraved epitaphs,
leaving a wake of dead,
no response to
outburst

shudder
from inner core
quaking in displeasure
at conceit of the creation,
minds not mastering their own universe,
as goddess holds back vexation
for now, while man’s folly
makes Mother Earth
shudder

I think that you have captured the essence of this image very well. The image isn't even needed for the reader as you have created a masterpiece with your words that captures the beauty of Mother Earth.
