A hero in my heart,
I will always love you.
You’ll always be remembered,
You’ll never be forgotten.
A husband and a brother,
A son and a soldier,
You played your part here well
There just wasn’t enough time
You were so much more to me
Than just a brother and a husband,
You were a teacher, an example
In chaos, you were reason.
Your body may be gone,
Your voice may not be heard again
But what you taught me I will keep
Within in us, your spirit will live on.

this is written for my brother. Lost recently in combat in Iraq. I was asked to write a poem and deliver it at his funeral, I want your opinion. Is it good enough?
