A Poet's Song.
I heard her whisper into the morning,
How this day should gently arrive,
No harshness today, if you please,
My heart needs peace to survive.
So she turned from the window and smiled,
Opened the sash and pulled the drape,
Got water for the plant in the kitchen
And watched as a poem took shape.
It began as any other she’d written,
How eas'ly they seemed to begin;
Images which played with the sunlight
Made a song full of pictures within.
Her pencil fairly flew thru the window
As unicorns danced with delight
Upon meadows and fields filled with flow’rs
And dragons and faeries in flight.
And I heard her pen sing to the paper,
How gently those words had begun,
With wonderful imaginations,
A brilliance that rivaled the sun.

A work of finesse and art! Youth and innocece sustained. Love untouched by time and images to be immortalized. I can paint this for sure! Strong and powerful not as in neeed but vulnerable in yearning in takie me for a longing.. these lines -

All the rescue and nurture in creative exploration. Very beautiful images of being together and speaking the highest pleasures where the soul expaands with grace. Each word is a flower and the whole is a fountain in gorgeous sunset or ocean at dawn, Will never have enuf ot his poem!

Hey stranger!

I am not trained in music and therefore I am not very attuned to discerning the time of beats, etc., but even without accompaniment this is a beautiful love song. It has a quality that could allow it to be placed with any background, from jazz to soft pop to even old-style big band. I have not seen such flowing words in a long while. You have trumped me, big time.
Of course I don't do love poems these days--no inspiration. But perhaps if I just allowed myself to see those fantastic images, to conjure the flowers and the unicorn, then perhaps I could dream such.
I hope you have been well.

Many blessings,
Raven Aurora

Sigh ...
I loved this poem, Richard ... Mature, refined and tactile. Serene and peaceful, with her so joyous in capturing her dream reality.
Beautiful rhyme, effortless in flow and in echo.
Please let me know when the audio file is finished.

The beauty that surrounds your words here makes me feel as if I have stepped into a fragrant, luxurious setting that calms my inner soul and embraces me in soft, buttery warmth, flowing slowly over my form, filling in all the crevices between my face and my feet. This is truly artmanship.

Oh. This is very cool. I like how it makes me think of a child's poem that you might hear them read at bedtime. I know that you said it was lyrics but when you were talking about dragons and fairies and that, I started to think of children right away. I like how you rounded out your thoughts so I felt like you satisfied my curiousity instead of leaving me wondering what ever happened. You did a good job here.

Tinkling bells and tiny flutes...a voice beyond compare...
I can hear a melody already Richard. Whenever I come to your pages I am never disappointed. This is truly musical even before you add the notes. Your pen has made magic here, my Shepherd, and that is just what I needed this moment. Be well, my friend, always, Rhonda
