Spirit of the Air

You値l remember me as the west wind moves
the corn heads on the summer plains,
I値l thread through shoots of ripened corn
to clear your mind of winter rains.

You will sense my heart in a sylvan glade
hear its beat in the rustling trees,
feel its warmth in the sunlight strobes
touch its love on an evening breeze.

You値l remember me as the ocean roars
in the yawping cries of windblown gulls,
in the spuming waves of troubled seas
in the heaving bows of creaking hulls.

When stirred by shadows that catch your eye
perchance 奏is I am standing there
for I am borne on nature痴 breath
to be beside you everywhere.

Author notes

I will see the movie in Bruge in 2008, when it's released.

I love how you made this such a 'natural' poem in every sense of the word. It's very touching and very well written - thank you for entering and good luck! Love, Morgaine

    Light and Airy.

Beautiful in it's presentation and as light as the subject. A fantasy mood the develops is a pleasant aftermath of this wonderful poem

    Excellent

It is a pleasure to read well crafted and meaningful poetry. So much of what passes as poetry these days is mindless drivel. Such is not the case with this beautiful work. Well done.
