Teardrop

A window pane, a slash of glass across,
Will act as if a lens to focus light-
It's splaying spotlights on my love's sweet site,
And focusing the view of my eyes' cross.
It's staring through a film that's like emboss,

And so, a switch of change, I, eager, toss.

I cannot hope to fix my life with love,
But only through that love can joy be made-
A newfound revelation sweeps the mind.
With signs of joy, some laughter and a dove,
And even though I feel a bit afraid,
I harness love to break glass which once shined...
