Protracted feud of yester years
provoked by the corruptive white swallows
crescended to fierce political rivalry
asunder'ing bonded clans of rustic Rwanda
The smog above harbingered doom
threatening sinister forces lurked
adrenaline flowed fanning fear pangs
Then the OWL woke the apprehensive April dusk
deafening blasts of furiously flying bombs
screaming sounds of snipers'' gun fires
acknowledged things had fallen apart!
Ballistic lords invaded homes
Khakied lords barked like rabid dogs at doors
on sniffling voyages of spotting TUTSIS
on violent voyages of flushing "cockroaches"
SOWETOAN tragic scenes' re-enactment!
Naked sorrow unleashed on preyed Tutsis
Tutsi women,men,boys,girls and sucklings
hounded by blood thirsty Hutu lords
anguished cries upset atmospheric peace
and Rwandan sanctums evaded refuge
Thundering ballistic missiles fell souls
Cracking stuttering rockets stacked corpses
and mangled bodies piled in the street morgues
Streaming blood enmarshed Rwandan lands
It's horrible stinking stench soured the air
but seemed too faint for the sky-masked LORD to smell
So,souls heaped as days heaped to beget months.
Hundred days died and wombed countless souls
Masked lord's solar god scorched Rwandan land
and sucked flooding blood in crimson vapour
Soon, the cloud dimmed and the sky rumbled
Jagged blinding flashes scored the sky
and the cloud burst pelting comforting rain
and deep sighs flooded the land at last!
What about the 100 days of genocidal waste?

Welcome to Memorial!
A very powerful poem, about the atrocities happening in Rwanda:
Jagged blinding flashes scored the sky
and the cloud burst pelting comforting rain
and deep sighs flooded the land at last!
What about the 100 days of genocidal waste?
Thousands of them to be remembered always, thank you for your entry. Good luck in the cpontest.
Susie
