Always there, always known, like a dove from the sky.
I wish you well in this life, may your dreams always come true,
I wish you best with all my might; I love you with all I can.
You are my baby, my love, my true; I wish you all the joy I can.
I love you, dear Lora, my baby through and through.
With sad eyes, I see you go, but it is my heart, which is with you now.
It is my heart, my soul, which will be with you then.
My heart will guide you straight; my heart will see you through,
Dear Lora, I love you now, I will love you then, forever more, will my love shine through.
Author notes
Before submitting this I would like to explain a few things, baby means the following:
- a person of whom one is deeply fond; sweetheart.
Although it is usually heard when calling someone, like a boyfriend or girlfriend, it can mean your child, but moreover it is the one you love. And, quite frankly, I can not think of any love that a human can experience, which is more deep, more terribly passionate, then the love a mother can feel for their child.
No mere relationship has that kind of love, no two people can have that, besides a mother and a child. I'll quote a line from The Crow, "Mother is the word for God on the lips and hearts of all children".
This quote is very true, because children see their mothers as the source of all the love and protection, so before anyone wonders what I meant here, I simply meant that when a woman sees her baby, and becomes a mother, and truely sees the gift that she brought into this world, she begins a path that is beautiful. No matter what it takes she will protect her child, whether it is keeping the child, or putting him/her up for adoption, the fact remains that no matter what, she will deeply desire to protect that child. There is no deeper bond that a human can truly experience.

Written for Baby Poems and Names by The Sisters Grimm, also written for The Sisters Grimm's friend, I hope that whatever your choice that this poem can help you, nay, inspire you to believe that your child, whether it is a boy or a girl, will grow up and be a wonderful addition to this world. Every life is sacred, every life, and just be glad that you are given the beautiful gift of being able to bring another life into this world. That is a gift, and yes it's painful, but so is any other gift that is granted to mortals.

Loved? :o
My words are loved, they will pass out when I tell them! Thank you for your comments, and as always thank you for reading, I write to get others to think, and if I can get others to think then my job is not for naught. If however I fail then I shall be no more.

Nice rant. I liked the poem also. Both coming from the heart. Continue writing with conviction rather than being convicted for your writing. Thanks for your comments greatly appreciated.

Such truth.
Yes, I always try to write from the heart write with conviction, after all poetry should always come from the heart AND the soul -- not the other way around.
(Lol, you may not get what I meant by that).

This is beautiful, wonderful sentiment. I'm sure my friend will be deeply touched by your profound words. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that quote from The Crow in your author's notes. That happens to be one of my favorite movies, and that happens to be my favorite quote from the movie. I think that quote really says all you are saying in this poem. Thank you for taking the time to enter, I'm sure your words will make my friend smile. Also, good luck!

Thank you.
Thank you for your comments, I wasn't sure about entering right away, I also wasn't sure if I could do it, but finally after convincing myself to try..I did it.
My sisters name is Lora, so I basically thought how would I describe her, but from our fathers point of view, and so I wrote this.
I wasn't sure how it would turn out, what is going on with your friend is also rather personal with me, my sister had her son at a young age. But, I must say the change in her has been dramatic, because having a baby does change you, but she still has much to learn. We all do, everyone has something to learn.
Anyway, to make a longer story shorter, I just put what I knew into something that I hope can help your friend. Although I've never been a father, I can imagine what it's like, I've always been able to pick up on what others are feeling. It isn't easy, nothing is, but in any case, if I can put a smile on her face -- then it's always worth it.
My main objective is always to make people think, but if I can someone smile, or even feel any emotion, then I do believe I've done my job.
