The age old question of which came first,
The chicken or the egg?
Still plagues modern science to this day
You’d think with all the knowledge
That’s been deployed through the years
Would somehow show them the way
We eat them, beat them, chickens lay them
They are the embryo of life
Without them we’d be goners sure as sin
So how come they’re so mysterious
So wonderful, so tasty, so pure and unique
In a race that they’re not destined to win
Dishes are named after them like egg foo yung
And the favorite eggs Benedict
Countless others make our tummies feel less empty
Writers have tried to write great novels
But their muse has left them without words
And then there was Humpty Dumpty

The best placeholder I've seen since my last placeholder. I have a question since you're a mod, I assume you still are. It mentions on posts about revising the date to make edited work show the new date...do those edits show as new to those who have you on their fav lists? Because if not, A lot of those people won't come back to read what you add here.

Okay, Yem... my silly place holder is now a poem and posted.
And in answer to your question, we can change the date on the poem to reflect the current date, but for some reason it wont let the title change in the contest list, but it's changed on my author page list... weird
