Leaves fallen from the Tree of Knowledge,
Neither blowing here nor there,
Dispensing common sense to humanity,
Much is grown and picked,
Ripe for effortless swallowing;
Keep eating, children, till it satisfies your hunger.
I once was as you are now,
Sullen on the inside,
And outwardly far too happy.

Author notes
Years ago, a friend took me to a Landmark Education Seminar; It seemed to me a lot of people who were looking for meaning and purpose and found it, but it all seemed too quick and easy. So I wrote this piece where the first letters spell "LNDMRK IS A" and left it to the reader to complete the phrase. Some may say "G-d send", "great organization" and some may say something else. To each his own.
