There I sat, broken-hearted,
pissed you off, then departed.
I’m glad you didn’t say “good-bye”
because I really don’t want to sever this tie.
But I do want to head back in an old direction,
toward less fighting and more outward affection,
the way it was with me and you,
caring for the other, like Yogi and BooBoo.
Anyway, thanks again for picking up the phone,
I don’t want to ever feel that alone,
as I did tonight while driving around,
Whoa! Is someone there with you?! What was that sound?!
