On sunny Monday morning
I woke up just to see
Three Zombies gathered 'round my bed
And staring straight at... ME!
I tried to run away from them
But it was just no use!
They took my brain out of my head
And sucked it up like juice.
I went straight through the school day
Without a single thought.
I couldn't do my schoolwork
And my teachers were distraught.
I stared out of the window
And when my name was mentioned
A bit of drool escaped my mouth
(I got an hour's detention.)
I faced the dusty, off-white wall
And sat there for a while
Of course, I couldn't think a thing.
I looked on at the wall tiles.
Out emerged a zombie!
It handed me my brain.
I guess they didn't dry it up.
Cause it looked JUST the same!
Now I lead a normal life
With my straight As again.
I'm just glad now to have thoughts
And I love my awesome brain.

Yeah. It's kind of the same style of The misunderstood jabberwock, but the rhyming isn't as forced. as lise reminded me, it's kinda like bill waterson. yes, all my poetry is like this, unless you count the emotional ones i haven't posted yet. ALSO, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU VIEW THIS POEM COMMENT ON IT I AM SICK AND TIRED OF NO COMMENTS!!!!

ok...... so i looked at the title and thought, what the heck? and i read it, and it really isn't that.......um..........how should i put it? STRANGE? so, i think you should submit it to some kids literery journal, or to embarass yourself to the x-treme, the Cauldron! (for those of you wo don't know, it is OUR SCHOOLS LITERARY JOURNAL) sasha, you think your a jerk now...... people like kate barker wouldn't get an awesome work of poetry such as this! *dumb* cough *dumb*
