Dream Roses

Missing image
His butter-rum voice stilled
in deep slumber; whiskey
eyes closed dreaming of
three nude flowers.
Fair of skin their beauty
tantalizing; weaken
from each moment upon
soft petals pink.

Absolute, rich, liquid
fire covered his stem.
Vengeance has no passion
greater; thrice plucked
sweet roses of
luscious ardency.
Admired, explosion; this
storm caught within
the tempest of lust.

Roses have thorns pricking
each heart of love.
Sated incarceration
vengeance of life’s course
speared passions honey
sweet core; three times!

Ponderous moments passed
burnt whisky eyes half-mask
his deep sensual words
requested once more!

Author notes

I have review Penman and Sunyata they both left me in awe, and loves each of there metaphoric ability to pull the reader into the poetic read, they have written. ..............novy

    My God
I really don't know what to say
The words are so soft and lovely, the adjectives are profound and the imagery is so prolifically done. I adore the words in this poem so much. Each line melts in with the next in this wonderful, warm feeling of poetry. You took the image and wrote wonders, a true masterpiece.
